Day of Details

Would you like to have a “first look” before the ceremony?

If you are seeing each other before the ceremony, would you like to do the majority of the posed photos before you say “I do”? If so, please list what time your first look will be.

Please include a list of ALL required formal group photographs (e.g. you and your partner with your mom and dad, just you with your siblings). Please keep the list around 10 groupings, as these can take a lot of time when there is an extensive list. This does not include photos of just Bride and Groom and wedding party.

Please appoint a “wrangler” from the Bride’s Family to gather that side of the family for group photos.

Please appoint a “wrangler” from the Groom’s Family to gather that side of the family for group photos.

Do you have a specific location you want to use for the family formal photographs?

Would you like photos while you are getting ready?

What time will you begin getting ready and at what location?

What time is the ceremony?

How long will the ceremony be?

What time will you be entering the reception?

Will you be having any special dances? If so, please list.

Will you be doing a formal exit? If so, what time?

If you have any must take photo ideas or other details I should know, please share them below.

Are there any photography restrictions at the ceremony?

What moment of your wedding day are you most looking forward to?

All of these details are important and will save your booty! It is important to know if they have any restrictions on their day. I am always walking around during the ceremony and I may be behind the alter or kneeling below them, but if they don’t want that to happen, I won’t do it. This day is for them! I always ask what photos they want because I want them to be involved in the whole process. I am there to capture the memories they want to create.

Always, always, always, remember this day is about your clients and not you getting the perfect shot for your portfolio. If you remember that, you will succeed.
